A France-based Nigerian socialite Lowo Oyediran popularly called Ajanaku has been brutally murdered by his wife.
According to residents of Akobo, 38-year-old Ajanaku who came home from his base in Grenoble France in December was murdered by his wife in the wee hours of yesterday, Tuesday the 2nd of February 2016 at their rented duplex in Akobo estate.
The brother of the deceased said his wife, Yewande Oyediran stabbed him to death with a kitchen knife yesterday while the two were arguing over an infidelity matter.
The suspect who is currently in police detention is a lawyer who works for the Ministry of Justice in Ibadan Oyo State.
In what appeared to be an aggressive domestic dispute, the wife of the deceased was found with dislocated shoulders, bruised body and swollen head.
A family source said Lowo was stabbed on the shoulder by his wife around 7:30pm on Monday night.
His private doctor was later called in to treat him. He was sedated around 9pm.
His violent wife reportedly slashed his throat in the early hours of Tuesday.
Yewande on the other hand was rushed to the hospital yesterday and discharged into police custody after treatment.
She has been transferred to SCID in Iyaganku for criminal prosecution.
Ajanaku’s corpse has been taken to Adeoyo General Hospital mortuary at Ring Road in Challenge Ibadan.
