Nigerian Soldier Arrested For Robbery At Abuja Gas Station, Abel Solomon Used AK47 Rifle Seized From Boko Haram
One of the gallant soldiers fighting the insurgents in the North has been nabbed while attempting to rob a filling station in Abuja.
The suspect 30-year-old Abel Solomon said the foiled robbery operation would have fetched him N20 million.
The operation was ruined by IGP Special Intelligence Response squad led by Abba Kyari.
Solomon and his accomplices were arrested while still fine-tuning their plan. He said the pump action rifle recovered from him was seized from a Boko Haram terrorist.
Hear him;
“I joined the Nigerian Army in 2005 after our training at Katangura, Niger State, we were deployed to Adamawa State to fight Boko Haram insurgents. After engaging the insurgents, we normally retrieve all weapons abandoned by the insurgents. That was how I found a pump action rifle abandoned by the insurgents. I buried it in the bush.”
