52-year-old Andrew Wright, a British pilot has been jailed for smuggling cocaine worth 10 millions pounds on flights from Germany in November 2014.
The pilot with over 19 years of experience as convicted by a British court on Tuesday.
He reportedly hid the drugs in the luggage compartment of his aircraft and in the boot of a car parked next to it at Breighton Aerodrome in North Yorkshire.
Police detectives found that Wright, who owned two Cessna light aircraft, had flown to Breighton seven times in the previous three months from a private airfield near Kassel in central Germany.
According to prosecution lawyer, Adrian Flasher, the convict used aerial photography business as a cover up to import 268 kilograms of cocaine into the United Kingdom.
