Meet Nigerian boxer Adedayo Victor Daodu and his British wife, Robyn, now battling to save their marriage after UK home office ordered him (Victor) to leave the UK.
The 25-year-old boxer came to the UK for 2012 Olympics. After the game, he signed up for British Army and later returned to Nigeria.
He received a letter from the UK to come for recruitment. In 2013 he did the written and physical tests and passed it.
He met Robyn around that time, the couple married and settled in Salford in July of the same year.
Few months later, Victor received a letter from the British army that his application to join the army has been refused due to new guidelines and was ordered to stay out the country.
Victor applied for asylum last year but his claim was refused 3 months later.
He was ordered to move back to Nigeria so his wife can file for him legally.
In April, he spent two weeks in the immigration centre, but was released after an appeal.
As it stands, Robyn says they have spent £4,000 in legal fees after a number of failed appeals.
In order to save her husband from deportation, 7-months pregnant Robyn has started an online petition on Change.org.
