Redeemer’s University Suspends 22 Students For Not Attending Church Service

The highly reputable school owned by the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Redeemer’s University reportedly suspended 22 students for not attending Church Service yesterday, Sunday 25th, January 2015.

According to an enraged source who says her Husbands’ sister attends the school and was amongst the student suspended, she said that another student who didn’t go to the church because of Asthma attack was suspended also, and the suspension holds till next semester effective from tomorrow, thus making them miss their First Semester Examination.

The source further said she doubts if the General Overseer of the Church,Pastor E.A. Adeboye is aware of this victimization of students as the so called potters and administrators take laws into their hands.

“I highly doubt that Pastor Adeboye knows about this victimization, the rule book states that failure to go to church attracts points been deducted (if student doesn’t give a valid reason) not students been suspended, how can a parent waste almost 400k because the child did not go to church for a day, even the girl with the asthma attack had an attack right there and they still suspended her.

We are here so upset and will be heading to the school tomorrow..Amidst pleading and shedding of tears the students had to pull out their handbook to see the penalty for their supposed “OFFENSE”, they showed it to the potters and admin staff responsible for the suspension and their response was “YES we know the rules but we want to make you all scapegoats”.
