I Nigerians have marched into the Abuja street to protest any plans to postpone the Febuary 14th national elections.
The protesters called on Independent National Election Commission INEC boss, Prof. Attahiru Jega to not bow to pressures mounted on him by President Goodluck Jonathan and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to postpone the upcoming general elections slated for February 2015.

The protesters planned to inform the members of the National Council of State which is billed to hold a meeting in respect of the postponement of election not to dare shift the date of the elections as Nigerians are fully ready for elections.
The protesters had placards which read: “No to election postponement”, “Nigerians are ready for elections”, “On Feb.14th we stand” ,”Democracy must survive, GEJ, you claimed you have improved power sector and built 200 roads, why are you afraid of election.”

They marched on singing anti-government songs.

The decision to postpone the election would be looked into today by Nigeria’s National Council of State due to the INEC allegedly not being prepared on time to host the polls.
