Phone Convo Between GEJ Campaigner And Buhari Supporter

As the elections are approaching, various surprising things are happening! One of these surprising things is what a certain girl shared on her Facebook page recently. The lady (name withheld) who happens to be a Buhari supporter made her experience known on her social page. She shared a phone conversation she recently had with a Goodluck Jonathan campaigner who was trying to buy her votes, on Facebook.

This has been the experience of lots of Nigerians who are of voting age. This obviously is not limited to just the Peoples Democratic Party presidential candidate. A lot of people also have recounted experiences of how they received calls from strangers asking if they have got their Permanent Voters’ cards, and then going on to try to influence them to vote for the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate. Some even requested for their account numbers to pay a token there so that they can vote for the presidential candidate they represent.
However, the question is, where do these people get the names and other detailed information of voters? Does it mean a voter’s information is not safe in Nigeria? Have they called you too?
Just recently, a group called Youth Ballot Evolution had an online poll between President Goodluck Jonathan and Gen. Buhari. The poll result showed that Jonathan won. This got a great reaction from people especially when Pastor Adeboue’s first son re-shared the poll results.
