Malaysian Immigration department has started a massive crack down on illegal immigrants and criminals in the country.
Recently 150 people were arrested for immigration related offenses and out them 25 Nigerians were identified.
The crack down operation held at Kuala Lumpur, Sabah and Terrenganu. Those arrested are set for deportation to their countries of birth.
The President, Nigerians in Diaspora, Malaysia (NIDOMY), Chief James Emarievbe (pictured above) disclosed that seven Nigerians are still in detention while 18 including students had been released after the intervention of the embassy and the suspects’ institutions.
