The Academic Forum of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria has protested the campaign of calumny and blackmail by Nigeria television stations, AIT and NTA, describing it as malicious and unprofessional.

In a statement issued by the movement and signed by S.I. Governor Aregbesola Does The Unthinkable At APC Rally

Buhari Refuses To Partake In Debate Organized By NEDG

The All Progressive Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) has revealed why he decided not to partake in the debate organised by the Nigeria Election Debate Group.

The explanation was conveyed on Friday by the Buhari Support Organisation, the umbrella body of all support groups campaigning for the 2015 February 14 presidential election.

The organisation’s spokesman, Dr. Chidia Maduekwe, stated that the composition of the debate panel is a clear indication that there was a ground design to rubbish the hard earned integrity of the APC presidential candidate.

The controversial former minister of state for defence Musiliu Obanikoro, who after losing out in the Lagos PDP Governorship Primaries started a serious trouble for the PDP claiming the Primaries is marred with many irregularities, the same Obanikoro is now one of the seven ministerial nominees sent to the senate by President Goodluck Jonathan.

To Toyin Adedamola, a 36-year-old resident of Oshodi area of Lagos dating a married man “is not a big deal.”

“I am old enough to marry, but when I don’t find the right man ready to put me in his house as his wife, should I just remain like a prisoner?

Nollywood actress Henrietta Kosoko who was rumoured to have died early this morning is still alive.

The rumour came as a result of a fatal car accident that happened along Sagamu Abeokuta Expressway in Ogun State on Friday.

The actress reportedly lost control of her Toyota Sienna before hitting a PHCN pole.

Area residents who came to her rescue said two of the occupants of brown Sienna died on the spot and that the actress went into a coma.

FG reveals Boko Haram's new plan to attack with camels, goats and donkeys loaded with explosives.

The Federal Government on Thursday raised the alarm that Boko Haram insurgents were planning to attack political rallies, worship centres and markets with camels, goats and donkeys laden with explosives.

Elechi Nnanna Elechi, son of Ebonyi State governor, Martin Elechi, is currently being quizzed by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

Chad’s army has driven Boko Haram militants out of Malumfatori town in north-eastern Nigeria.

The reported capture of the town, which lies near the borders of Chad and Niger, follows two days of fighting.

Both ground and air forces were reported to have been used in the assault, a senior official from Niger has revealed.

Niger officials said Chadian ground forces moved into the town after crossing Lake Chad. It is not known if the operation was approved by Nigeria.
