Before now, Gov Oshio allegedly lied to cover up his contract marriage. He told family members, Iara’s mother is a Nigerian while his father is from Ethiopia.

The lady in question is Iara Fortes, a 36-year-old former model from Cape Verde.
Her parents (we couldn’t get their names) are both from Cape Verde.
She was a model until 2005 when she secured a flight attendant position with Emirates Airlines.
She quit her job in May 2014 after an encounter with Governor Oshiomhole who allegedly promised to make her a queen.
The story became twisted when she allegedly told Oshio that she’s engaged to marry her fellow Cape Verdean but in order to lure her, the governor agreed to a contract marriage with her till the end of his tenure.
Well at that point, Iara agreed and quit her job the same month.
Insiders alleged that she has been living secretly inside Edo State Governor’s Lodge since July 2014.
We also learnt that her mother, a devout Christian was not pleased with the idea but her father agreed to it since it is a contract marriage.
Governor Oshiomhole reportedly ordered her to take down her photos and details from the net last month and forced her to enter a legal bidding agreement.
