Lassa Fever Virus Disease Death Toll In Nigeria: 63 Dead, 212 Isolated In 17 States Affected

At least 63 have died following the outbreak of Lassa Fever virus disease in Nigeria.

According to Health Minister Professor Isaac Adewole, 63 people have died while 212 others have been placed in isolation in 62 local government area of 17 states affected in Nigeria.

A resident doctor from Ekiti State died in Ile Ife on Monday under a mysterious circumstance.

The unidentified resident doctor left Ekiti State to resume work on Monday but before 12noon, he was said to have vomited too much blood at the premises of the hospital. He was rushed to the emergency ward of the hospital where he died.
